EXCLUSIVE: Sam Outlaw Talks Upcoming UK Tour

US country music star Sam Outlaw is getting ready to bring his exciting show to the UK once again. The 35-year-old Southern Californian’s upcoming tour will kick off in Edinburgh this coming Monday (October 30th), and will end on November 3rd in York.

And here we speak exclusively to Sam about his new UK tour, British country scene, and future plans:

Growing up who inspired your love of country music?

Asleep At The Wheel was the only country music I was exposed to as a kid. My dad loves that band and if it wasn’t for them I’m not sure I would have fallen in love with classic country music in my twenties.

What can fans expect from your upcoming live shows?

An amazing sounding (full) band. We do the rock show thing and we also do some songs acoustic, just me and Molly.

How excited are you about performing in front of British audiences?

It’s always so cool. Especially when there’s air conditioning.

How excited are you about the growth of UK country?

Totally shocked by the audiences in the UK. And very thankful.

Which UK cities are you most looking forward to visiting?

Edinburgh! I love Scotland. And I’ve never been to Leicester so that’s a new one.

What would be your dream venue to play at?

O2, of course. And Royal Albert Hall.

Which UK acts are you listening to at the moment?

The Beatles. The Kinks.

If you could collaborate with anyone who would you choose?

Bryan Adams.

What do you hope to achieve over the next ten years?

To be a more loving, caring and patient husband and father. And to be ‘present’. Hope to make some more music too.
