R&B Singer, Ciara and Atlanta based rapper, Future have called off their engagement.  The two met in 2006 and, according to Future, he knew from their first meeting that the two would have a relationship.  Years later when the couple was re-introduced they formed a relationship and announced their engagement on Ciara’s birthday in October 2013; three months ago they welcomed their first child, Future Zahir Wilburn, and the two seemed to be doing well.  However, recent reports have stated that Future was unfaithful to Ciara while on tour and she has decided to call it quits and she is “devastated.”

A few months ago Ciara graced the cover of Brides Magazine, and in an interview she hinted that her relationship with Future was something that she was very thankful for.  She stated that while she was not looking for love at the time, Future was able to win her over with his kind demeanor, “he’s my best friend in the world, my partner,” she said of the rapper.   With that being said, the news of the couple’s end is sudden and shocking.  Earlier this year future released a song called, “I Won” from his album Honest, which is an ode to his relationship with Ciara.  In the song which features Kanye West, Future croons, “I just want to take you out and show you off/you already know that you are the perfect one/girl when I’m with you, feel like a champion,” leaving listeners under the impression that Future adored his fiance and the couple had an unbreakable bond.

Ciara and Future have not yet taken their break up to social media and both of their twitter pages have been fairly quiet except for Ciara’s, who tweeted angrily at US Weekly (who originally broke the news of her break up) calling them “thirsty,” suggesting that her words were manipulated to create a better story.  Only time will tell how things pan out for the couple, but as for now – the two seem to have no future together.
